I’m writing to express my interest in the Education Program Assistant position at Creative Coding Utrecht.
I’ve been following CCU for some time and have attended various events, including Wearable Arts with Michelle Vossen and the Code, Clay & Kinship Meet-up with Patricia Reis and Stefanie Wuschitz. These events drew me to CCU because of its approach to artistic research, experimentation, and community building.
The Education Program Assistant role strongly appeals to me because it brings together organisation, educational support, and the creation of welcoming learning environments. I enjoy taking on coordinating and caring roles, ensuring that activities run smoothly and that participants feel supported and included. I am excited to learn from and work alongside the Education Program Coordinator, while taking on a function that supports my professional, artistic, and personal growth.
Through my artistic practice, workshop facilitation, internships, and my current participation in Fabricademy at Waag in Amsterdam, I have developed strong skills in hosting groups, collaborating with educators and artists, supporting public programs and contributing to communication and documentation. My experience includes co-developing and co-leading workshops, floor management and visitor support, social media and website content and contributing to exhibition production through writing and budgeting support. I see these will become particularly relevant to the communication and production aspects of this role.
One of my main motivations for joining Fabricademy was to develop a more sustainable artistic practice, and I strongly connect this to CCU’s Zöop values, long-term ecological vision and care for both people and ecosystems.
I am currently taking Dutch classes and practising the language daily. I already use Dutch at work and in everyday situations. While I am still improving, I am motivated and confident that my language skills will continue to grow as I become more familiar with the context and responsibilities of this role.
I would be very happy to discuss further how my professional and personal background could contribute to CCU’s mission.
Thank you for your time and for considering my application.
Best regards,
Alessia
