I’m Alessia (IT, 1999), a visual artist from Italy now based in the Netherlands. I moved here three years ago to do my Master’s, and since then I’ve been developing my artistic practice and building my community.
My work looks at the body and its relationships with surrounding elements, such as society, family, traditions and nature. I work multidisciplinarily across textiles, painting, video, sound and e-textiles.
I am a member of two artist collectives: Crow Stitch, which centres feminist practice, resistance and liberation; and SoilUp!, a place-based collective that brings together artists, researchers and designers for collaborative projects.
